The range of this species is usually thought to be mostly west and southwest of Michigan, and the Emmet Co. station, at the edge of forests not far from the old Indian center of Cross Village, may represent an introduction by Native Americans. Also collected along a small stream in Berrien Co., which may well represent a colony at the edge of its native range.
