Solidago sempervirens inflorescence A. A. Reznicek inflorescence

An east coast halophyte, first collected in Michigan in 1978 in Wayne Co. (Reznicek, 1980) and spreading along expressways (saline habitat) and on fly ash deposits and other disturbed saline areas.

Doubtless much more widespread already than collections suggest, this is a very showy, tall species, except in the most extreme sites, and also is very late bloomimg, not reaching peak flower until late october in southern Michigan.
